Anti Ragging:-
The Modern Way to Learn with Srionkar.
“Ragging does not break the ice; it breaks lives, careers and families!” Ragging is a practice in educational institutions that involves existing students baiting and bullying new students. It often takes a malignant form wherein the newcomers may be subjected to psychological or physical torture. Ragging is a crime, condemned by the nation. Ragging is strictly prohibited in and around the campus of GCON. Our college has banned ragging in any form. The institute treats ragging as a cognizable offense & stern actions will be taken against the offenders. To safeguard its ideals of scholarship, character & personal behavior, the institute reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any student at any time for any reason deemed sufficient. Since 2001, ragging has been the focus of a number of legal actions. The Supreme Court of India defined it in a judgment as actions that “adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.”
GCON ensures ragging free campus by implementing the following measures:

- Any one indulging in Ragging will be dealt with serious disciplinary action which includes expulsion from the institute and will be prone to legal action under Indian Penal Code.
- The College has constituted a highly vigilant Anti-ragging Committee comprising of staff and student representatives which ensures Ragging free Campus and Hostel.
